Though it is definitely not a sound diet plan for long term health, many people have found this to be effective at temporarily dropping pounds. Day 1 and 2

You may have as much as you want on the first day of the diet. Soups that contain low-calorie vegetables like cabbage, onions or tomatoes are included in this. Onion and tomato may be able to be used as flavoring as well as bouillon. Drink black coffee with no sugar or cream, unsweetened tea, only water or 100 percent cranberry juice. Also, on this day, eat any single piece of fruit you want except a banana.


Eat an unlimited amount of soup and raw on the second day, fresh or cooked vegetables excluding peas or sweet corn. Although you may have one starch such as a baked potato with butter only, does not eat fruit at all. Drink as much water, black coffee, unsweetened tea or cranberry juice as you like.

You may combine the first two days on the day three with as much soup, fruit and veggies as you like. As tempting as the latter may be, refrain from eating any starches or sweets. As the first two days, you can drink the same unlimited fluids.

Eat only fruits all day long, including bananas, because day four will likely find you craving sweet foods. Again, drink much water, black coffee, unsweetened tea and cranberry juice as well as skim milk if desired. However, you only allowed drinking skim milk on day four.

Days 5 and 6

Protein will be needed in your body on the fifth day of this diet, which it has been unable to receive over the past four. You may have 10 to 20 oz. of beef, broiled fish or baked chicken through the course of the day; whichever one of the three you prefer. At least eight glasses of water should be drink and no other liquids today. This will keep your kidneys functioning properly and flush out the uric acid buildup from the fruits and vegetables.

You may have an unlimited amount of your protein of choice, soup and vegetables but no starches on day six.

Day 7 and Beyond

On the last day of this diet, no starches or protein are allowed. Vegetables and soups are permitted in unlimited quantities and also drink only water, black coffee, unsweetened tea or cranberry juice.
