Diet Plan for Migraine
A neurological condition that can present with a symptoms range is the migraine, in commonly a pulsating headache that varies in severity. - Citrus fruits – lemons, oranges, grapefruits, limes, etc
- Yeast and malt extracts – Oxo, Marmite, Bovril
- Fruit cordials/squashes – all types, inc. reduced sugar, except blackcurrant
- Colas – inc. ‘diet’ and ‘Zero’ varieties, caffeine-free varieties, Pepsi-Max
- Strong tea, strong coffee, iced tea, green tea
- Chocolate – milk, plain, white, cocoa
- Salt – use sparingly
- Game – pheasant, pigeon, partridge, venison, or any other ‘hung’ meat
- Shellfish – shrimps, mussels, cockles, crab, prawns
- Smoked fish – kippers, smoked mackerel, herring, haddock, etc
- Pickled fish – rollmop herrings
- Cheese – all types, inc. low fat, cottage cheese
- Yoghurt – all types, plain and flavoured
- Fromage frais
- Broad beans
- Avocado pears
Avoiding junk and processed foods and try to consume higher fiber and drink 10 – 12 cups of fluid per day in addition stick to a healthy diet. You can consume the fruits, wholemeal products, pulses, vegetables, etc to get higher fiber for you.

200ml apple juice, 200 ml skimmed milk, 1 tsp sugar, high fiber cereal ( bran flakes, watabix, porridge, shreddies, muesli, etc )
Mid morning :
drink water, pear or peach or apple, 2 oatcakes
sandwich : olive oil based spread, slice ham / chicken or tuna in low fat smoked salmon or yogurt, drink water, mixed salad in tbsp sunflower seeds
Mid afternoon :
drink water, handful mixed nuts, pear / peach / apple
fillet white fish / large chicken breast / potatoes / lean red meat basmati rice / pasta, large salad or loads of veg and drink water.
