For lunch, the great menus are high in protein and low in salicylate. However, fresh meats grains, eggs and dairy products that high in protein are fine to consume. So, you can eat any meat such as chicken, fish, beef lamb, pork, and turkey for your lunch. When you want to add some veggies on your lunch menus, you better choose spinach, lettuce peppers, eggplant, asparagus, fresh mushrooms and carrots that low in salicylate.
If you are hungry in between the before and next meals, you can get some low-salicylate snacks. Cookies and handmade cakes that made without any high-salicylate fruits are typically safe to consume. Chocolate is one of low-salicylate snacks.

Foods to Avoid in Low Salicylate Diet
In many foods, particularly veggies and plants are often found a natural compound like salicylate. Especially, for the fruit in not yet ripe, it has highest concentration of salicylate. So, if you do low salicylate diet, you should avoid some berries such as strawberries, cranberries, blackberries, mulberries, currants and raspberries. Pomegranates, apples, melon, oranges, pineapple, peaches, prunes, plums, apricots and cherries are the fruits in very high levels of salicylate.
However, all meats are often fine to consume in low salicylate diet. But, meats in highly – processed like hot dogs and salami are contain high salicylate. The other meats that contain salicylate are fish and gravy that is canned in spices or oil.
In low salicylate diet, you should to avoid honey, peppermints, chewing gum, mints, cakes and pies made with avoided fruits. Root beer, wine, vodka, gin, whiskey, sparkling water, soda and tea are the avoided beverages in low salicylate diet.
