Determining the Weight Watchers Points
The first step you need to do is to determine the baseline point for your weight watchers. This starting point will be determined by sex, eight points for male and two points for female. You need to give yourself twelve starting points in case you are nursing. Remember this starting point and record it in your weight watchers journal so you can calculate your weight watchers points more easily in the future. After you have determined the starting point for your weight watcher diet, the next step is to determine another point based on your age.
There are several category of points you will have to choose here, the first category is four points which is for those who are between seventeen to twenty six year old, the second category is three points for those who are between twenty seven to thirty seven year old, the third category is two points which is for those who are between forty eight to fifty seven year old. Add the new age point to your previous sex point and get the new total point. Meanwhile, those who are over fifty eight do not need to add another point to their weight watchers total points.
After you have calculated the two points, the next step you need to do is to add two other point types which are based on height and weight. Those who are 5’10” tall need to add two more points to the previous total points. Meanwhile, you need to add one more point if you are five feet to 5’9” tall. You do not need to add any point if your height is less than five feet. Afterwards, you need to add your weight point to the previous total point you have got so far.
Take the two numbers of your weight then add them to your total point. For example, if you weigh 157 pounds then you need to add 15 to your total points. The last step on how to determine Weight Watchers points you need to do is add the activity point. Add six points if you have heavy physical work, add four points if you walk most of the time, add two points if you mostly stand and occasionally sit down, and you do not have to add extra point if you sit down most of the time.
